GLYCOLIC ACID
 

Glycolic acid is a fruit acid, derived from sugar cane, it is part of the AHA (alpha-hydroxy acid) category. These molecules are, with BHA (beta-hydroxy acid), the most used chemical exfoliants on the market.

Glycolic acid has a very powerful keratolitic action: that is to say, it interacts with keratinocytes in order to remove dead skin cells. Its small molecular size allows it to penetrate deep into the upper layers of the skin and activate cell renewal without abrasive action.

Thanks to its action, the appearance of the skin is generally improved: the complexion is enhanced, regains radiance while hyperpigmentation and acne are reduced.
