Principle

Hair grafting is a cosmetic surgery procedure that involves removing hair follicles from healthy areas and then grafting them onto the areas affected by hair loss. There are two hair transplant methods :

The FUE method, which involves harvesting grafts in the form of individual follicular units (UF). Individual follicular grafts are harvested using manual or motorised punches.

The FUT method, which involves harvesting a strip of scalp from the back of the skull. The harvest is followed by suturing and dissection into small follicular units.

Results

Swelling and oedema may occur after a hair transplant.

You may also experience itching and a loss of sensitivity in the treated areas.

Possible side effects
A hair transplant costs between €3,500 and €10,000, depending on the method used (FUE or FUT) and the number of grafts to be transplanted.

Number of sessions & budget

The first results appear around 6 months after the hair transplant. The grafted area(s) are fuller and the hair.
