7.How to differentiate pigmentary dark circles and vascular dark circles?
Dark circles are black or brown in color. They are due to an overproduction of melanin (pigment responsible for skin coloring). The epidermis and dermis being very thin at eye level, any excess pigment is therefore very easily seen. These dark circles tend to appear most often in people with darker skin types.
Vascular rings are blue/purple in color and are due to a dysfunction of blood microcirculation and lymphatic fluid in the eye. When the lymphatic system is disrupted, it no longer properly eliminates pigments from the blood which will then accumulate to form a clump under the thinnest layers of the skin. This dysfunction is all the more common with age or, as we often hear, in a state of fatigue or stress.

Yes, it is possible to apply L.C.E Balm. on an open wound: it is not necessary to wait for a scab to form. Whereas 100% silicone gels cannot be applied to an open wound because they do not help with healing but rather with beautifying the scar.
However, we can note that each doctor has his own protocol. Some surgeons will apply it immediately after the medical procedure (in this case, they often use it simultaneously with an antibiotic cream) while others will wait until they have removed the stitches. Dermatologists will use it right after their laser session, even if it is an ablative laser or right after a deep peel.
12.What is the difference between L.C.E Balm and 100% silicone gels?
100% silicone gels are applied to hypertrophies, keloid or inflammatory scars to try to reduce inflammation and/or swelling. Of course, they cannot be used on an open wound because they do not help with healing but rather with beautifying the scar.
