GLYCERIN

In the body, glycerin plays an important role in the production of lipids, one of the three nutrients essential for the proper functioning of the body (along with carbohydrates and proteins).

Lipids will play a structural role, since they are an integral part of the cell membrane providing it with support, firmness and permeability. In addition, they also act at many biological levels such as the transmission of neuronal messages or the immune and anti-inflammatory response.

In addition to these metabolic functions with lipids, glycerin is a hydrophilic molecule, providing hydration to the epithelial layer, keeping it soft and smooth on a daily basis.
