ALLANTOIN

Allantoin is a nitrogen compound which is generally synthesized from uric acid; it can come from both animal and plant environments.

Renowned for its various benefits, Allantoin helps strengthen the synthesis of components of the ExtraCellular Matrix (ECM) and more particularly fibroblasts, responsible for the production of collagen for an anti-aging effect.

Thanks to its gentle keratolitic action, this active ingredient removes dead cells by interacting with the desmosomes which retain overly old keratinocytes: corneocytes.

This helps promote cell renewal and healing of epithelial cells while reducing pore blockage. In the case of combination to oily skin, Allantoin helps reduce the amount of sebum produced and therefore reduces shine. Its action limits the denaturation of serum albumin, thus reducing skin inflammation.
