SALICORNIA HERBACEA EXTRACT

Salicornia extract is an active ingredient derived directly from the plant of the same name. The latter is halophilic and grows in soils particularly rich in salts and minerals, such as coastlines.

This particular environment allowed it to develop very interesting internal systems in the fight against dehydration.

The salicornia extract will thus act on all fronts of skin dehydration: it stimulates the synthesis of aquaporins (AQP3 and AQP8) which will subsequently encourage the production of urea. Urea being a major component of Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF), it will help increase their presence in the skin.

This is how better cellular cohesion and strengthening of the lipid matrix are obtained.
